NEW ARRIVALS
JOEYTwo new young wallabies have joined the zoo crew. Like most mammals, baby wallabies (called joeys) begin developing inside their moms. Unlike most mammals, undeveloped joeys will be born and climb into their mom's pouch and will begin to sneek peeks outside five months after they're born. The joeys are now poking their heads out and are excited to see you this season!

LEMURSTwo baby lemurs were born to two proud mama's this February. After baby lemurs are born, they firmly grasp onto their mother's fur while she leaps and bounds across trees, ropes, and logs. This is so the baby can stay safe with mom and be close to the mom's milk supply.

ZOWIEZowie (pronounced Zoh-ee)was born in December 2015. She earned her full name Zoobacca for the wookie-like call she makes. Zowie was bottle fed and raised by her keeper after her mom was unable to take care of her. Zowie is a high spirited, friendly camel. She will be excited to see you this season. You might even see her walking around with her keeper!
